so it's only may 9th and my summer is officially over! i started summer school today. not fun! and it will only get worse. tomorrow will be a long two day session; that will be the true test. i have to figure out what all i'm packing in order to supply fuel to get me through it.
i'm thinking: chicken quesadila for lunch with my usual soda, water and chips for the afternoon, maybe some pasta for dinner, then a izze soda and strawberries for the evening. the thing i'm unsure about is the pasta. i wish that i had picked up a frozen meal at the grocery store; that would be perfect for school. or actually the annie's organic elbows & creamy mild cheddar. i tested it out this weekend and the flavor was good, but they apparently like their pasta super mushy. so if cooked to a point just short of al dente (where i like my pasta) then mixed with the sauce, i think it could make a decent pasta leftover.
i should have also just thought about things i like cold. potato salad for one. that would make an excellent interim dinner. sandwiches in general would have worked. but my brain just wasn't going there. baked beans would have also been nice. i'm really disappointed in my meal planning this week. oh well... now i know for next week. though i have to say that i think that the izze soda will be perfect as a pick-me-up in the evening. soda without being sweet. won't keep me up at night. i'll have to pee like a racehorse though.
i need to make a better plan for next week.
