first off i really want to buy groceries. and not any old groceries. i want to cook delicious meals for myself again. not that i'm an expensive chef, but cooking does cost money, even if it is cheaper than eating out. i should be living off of ramen at this point. that's how broke i am.
object #2: a patio set. now there's no way i'm going to spend a couple hundred on an ugly patio set that will either get stolen, trashed by my neighbors, or die in the evil weather. so i'm proposing spending $8 each on two chairs, and $14 on a set of two tv tray tables. a sum total of $30. not bad. but of course i have to somehow smuggle a can of spray paint into chicago to paint the chairs a more appropriate finish. at might add some dough. but still this won't break the bank at $50.
third thing on my list is a dining table! i've been without one for almost a year. and i promised my roommate when i moved in that i would buy one. i found this fabulous one online for $250. a bit steep for my wallet, but this is a fantasy post. i've wanted one of these tables since i saw it at a designer's house during an interview. actually we sat at it during the interview and a lot of the time i was thinking about how i had completely underestimated diner tables.
the fourth is an even more distant dream than the $250 table. mostly because it's a luxury. a tv/bed tray. i'd love to have someplace other than my lap to put my laptop while working in bed. i could always get one of those ugly pillow pads, but that doesn't solve my problem either. it is hot as fuck here and having anything of any weight on your lap is deadly. i want something that can sit above my legs or on its own. i was thinking of also using the table to support a laptop to watch movies in bed. since i'm sans tv.
